IR (Instrument rating)

With IR you have the possibility to fly in and on top of clouds whitout outer preferences (assumed that the helicopter is equipped and approved for this purpose).

Commonly it is demanded from most ambulancehelicopter operatives that the pilots are instrument rated.

IR-H with completed CPL-H:

-Applicant already completed 50 hours orientationflight time as PIC, either on airplane or helicopter, minimum 10 hours of 50 in helicopter.

-If you posess CPL-H you might get a reduced trainingtime by 5 hours.

-Applicant have to show knowledge (theory) in the english language.


IR-H flight training:

-Single engine helicopter
Minimum 50 hours of instrument time in FNPT1, or 25 hours can be carried out in a FNTP2 or a flight simulator.

-Multiengine helicopter
Minimum 55 hours instrument time as a pupil, 20 hours can be carried out in FNTP1, alternetiv in a FNTP2 or a flight simulator. Minimum 15 hours of the training have to be in a multiengine helicopter.
